Laser devices make work on construction sites much easier. They are also useful in everyday life when we plan to renovate. The cross-line or plane laser devices itself are not everything. To take full advantage of the possibilities offered by lasers, it is worth getting a set of accessories. Below we present the most useful of them.
Laser enhancement glasses - see the laser beam even better
Often, among the accessories attached to cross, multi-line, and rotary laser devices, there are laser enhancement glasses. You can buy them separately as well. What is their function? Thanks to the glasses (the color corresponding to the green or red laser beam), you will see the lines generated by the devices better.
Remember that laser enhancement glasses do not protect your eyesight, or at least not in the way you may think about them. Good-class glasses are appropriately profiled and do not distort the way we see our surroundings. In other words, our eyes see "normally", although in shades of green or red, and the emitted beam additionally stands out from the given surface.
Notice that good quality laser devices (including all PRO brand devices) are produced using class II beam emitting diodes. It means that our natural reflex, i.e. blinking, is enough to prevent eye damage if we accidentally look into the beam.
Laser beam detectors - a remedy for problems with outdoor work
Occasionally, you may come across claims that green-beam lasers are better suited for outdoor use. Some even say that the generated lines are perfectly visible, for example when working in the garden on a sunny day. The fact is that the green laser has a greater range (it is visible even from over 40 meters). However, no laser device offers the possibility of comfortable work outside - the beam can potentially be visible "to the naked eye", but only at a distance of a maximum of several meters.
Professional laser beam detectors that allow you to precisely determine the beam position come in handy. Such a detector can be used by hand or mounted on a staff, even several dozen meters from the laser device. The detector is equipped with indicators that provide information about the position of the beam. The device will start beeping and signaling with a purple LED when the ideal beam position is detected. Thanks to this, you will detect the beam where your eyes will not see it anymore.
Adjustable tripod for exceptional precision
All PRO lasers have self-leveling systems, usually in the range of approx. 3°. If the ground on which you are placing the laser is uneven or unpredictable (e.g. gravel or curved cobblestones), you will quickly find that it is worth having accessories to assist with adjustment.
Often, in sets with laser devices, you can find mini-tripods with adjustment (known among professionals as rotary tribrachs), which are small platforms that allow you to conveniently rotate the device around. It is worth paying attention to the fact that such a small tripod has a spirit level and adjustable feet that will allow for its perfect leveling.

Keeping the laser device in an appropriate case matters...
The laser devices are manufactured to work in difficult conditions. Many of them are IP54-rated. So they are resistant to dust and water to a certain extent. However, they must be adequately protected against mechanical damage, which often occurs during transport. The case in which they are kept should be made of hard plastic and filled with hard foam inside, which will immobilize the equipment. It is worth checking if there is a soft foam in the cover, which will gently press the device and provide it with 100% safety.
Useful accessories that are rarely remembered about...
Sometimes mounting plates can be found in the sets. They are contoured in such a way that they allow the device to be hung in a selected place. Another useful accessory is the holder with magnets. You can attach it to a metal surface and then hang the device from under it. The handles available in the PRO sets have extensive adjustment possibilities in all planes.
Metal scissor lifts are an interesting accessory. They allow the device to be raised from a few to several centimeters above the floor on which we are working. Thanks to this solution, we can easily lay the plinths. It is also worth mentioning the target plates, which improve the visibility of laser beams. Most often they have retractable legs (they do not need to be supported). Such shields work best during measurements in dry buildings and the installation of suspended ceilings.

When deciding to buy a laser, it is worth taking a look at the accessories available in the set, as well as additions that can be purchased separately. Depending on the work carried out, they can greatly facilitate progress and make the final result precise and consistent with the user's intentions.
